[Update 20/05] The Adaptyst Jira system is live!
From now, as announced in the previous post, you can view the ongoing status of Adaptyst development by visiting https://its.cern.ch/jira/projects/ADAPTYST/issues. This replaces GitHub Issues in our repositories.
To make sure that everybody can follow and take part in our work, the Jira system is available publicly: all issues can be browsed without having to log in, regardless of where you connect from. Additionally, anyone from CERN and outside CERN can submit a new bug or suggestion there: if you’re not at CERN, you just need to create a guest account (using your e-mail, GitHub, or social media) and subscribe to Jira by going here.
Once you’re logged in to Jira, you will also be able to see the current status of our scrum-based development such as the ongoing sprint board. Please note that the new organisational approach has been deployed only recently, so the details such as the length of sprints and the nature/number of tasks there are still subject to change, including during sprints. This should stabilise over time.
Furthermore, a Discourse forum will be launched soon to provide a public place for Adaptyst-related discussions not suitable for Jira. We will update this post when it happens. Non-CERN people will be able to use the same guest account.
We will update shortly the main Adaptyst website to include all the necessary information for getting involved with the Jira system. Afterwards, we will disable GitHub Issues in our repositories.
Update 20/05/2026: Because of the longer waiting time for CERN IT to set up infrastructure for a Discourse-based Adaptyst forum, the main website will be updated with the Jira information and GitHub Issues will be retired in the Adaptyst repositories only once the forum is live. Thank you for your patience so far!
