IEEE HPEC’25 award-winning Adaptyst paper available on arXiv

Some of you may have heard of an Adaptyst-related paper getting the Outstanding Short Paper Award at the IEEE HPEC conference this year. If you are interested in looking at it, it is available now on arXiv: https://arxiv.org/abs/2511.13928 (the organisers do not publish short papers in IEEE Xplore). The publication introduces Adaptyst and discusses some of its development work about streamlining the linuxperf module by replacing the patched-“perf”-subprocess-based system with an in-house equivalent. Please note that the linuxperf effort described in the paper is put on hold for now, but it will be eventually resumed and completed in the future.

The publication was possible thanks to the collaboration with Prof. Andrea Guerrieri’s group at HES-SO Valais.
